VibeStick for Mac 0.2.0 RC 2
VibeStick for Mac 0.2.0 RC 2
RC 2 fixes false Offline status reports on macOS when Codex agents are actively working, while keeping provider refresh work bounded and lightweight.
What is fixed
- State and device reads now return the latest in-memory snapshot immediately while provider observation refreshes asynchronously.
- Provider refresh is single-flight with a minimum two-second interval.
- Signature-keyed session caches and bounded reads avoid repeatedly parsing unchanged Codex session history.
- Unchanged Bridge state is no longer rewritten.
- Device firmware, pairing data, and the Bridge protocol are unchanged.
In live validation, 10 of 10 state requests completed in about 2.3 to 5.9 ms while status remained RUNNING. A 20-second sample used 0.34 CPU seconds, about 1.7% of one core on average, while RSS remained effectively flat. See PR #4 for the diagnosis and implementation details.

af15c179ec3eddd26e37dadca34d94e43c6ae2eb - Validation: 277 hostless Swift tests across 21 suites, 194 retained Python compatibility tests, strict bundle/signature/manifest checks, read-only DMG verification, and green GitHub CI.
Known RC limitations
- No Developer ID signature or Apple notarization yet.
- Strict clean-machine first-install and fault-rollback acceptance remains unexecuted because a second clean Mac or external clean boot environment was unavailable. This is neither a pass nor a failure.
- Intel Macs and macOS 14 or older are unsupported.
- The final RC 2 candidate DMG was verified offline but was not installed or launched.
- Firmware recovery is a high-risk maintenance feature and should not be triggered merely to try the RC.
