Dark Souls III - Dynamic Key Prompts 0.1.3
Pre-release
Pre-release
For Dark Souls III (Steam, version 1.15.2). Test version: please report anything that looks wrong.
Dark Souls III always shows Xbox buttons in its prompts, even with keyboard and mouse. This mod reads your actual key bindings from the game and shows the matching key or mouse button in menus, the help bar, world prompts ("Light bonfire") and tutorial texts, and follows your changes in the Key Bindings screen.
- Key and mouse icons in the style of the game's button icons (themes
dark, minimal, silver), or text labels (Style=text) - Menu buttons resolve to menu actions (Confirm, Cancel, tabs), world prompts to game actions (Interact, Roll, …)
- The game's files are not modified
- Works together with Seamless Co-op and ModEngine2
Changes in 0.1.3
- Key icons now also work in a game unpacked with UXM or Nuxe, and with BootBoost. Before, the prompts showed text instead of icons there.
- The mod can be loaded by Ultimate ASI Loader or another mod's DLL loader, for setups where both
dinput8.dllandxinput1_3.dllare taken: rename the mod'sdinput8.dlltoDynamicKeyPrompts.asiand keep theDynamicKeyPromptsfolder next to it.
