Harbor v1.0.1 Beta
This release adds a redesigned Season Explorer with TVDB anime support, improved split-cour anime tracking, the "More Like This" end-screen player, experimental external mpv playback and Nuvio Cloud integration, custom library groups, episode and movie release countdowns, and improvements to playback reliability, browsing performance, PublicMetaDB, games, and reader views.
☁️ Nuvio Cloud & Accounts (Experimental)
- Nuvio Cloud Integration: Added Nuvio as an account provider for syncing your library, watch progress, profiles, and addons. Connect and switch between Stremio and Nuvio under Settings → Account → Account provider (@glpc-blaze).
- Cloud Profiles & PIN Protection: Added support for up to six Nuvio cloud profiles with server-side PIN protection and per-profile Continue Watching. Manage profiles under Settings → Account → Profiles (@glpc-blaze).
- Profile Mapping & Synced Addons: Choose which Nuvio profile slot syncs with your Harbor profile and view its synced addons under Settings → Account → Nuvio → Profile mapping / Synced addons, available when Nuvio is selected (@glpc-blaze).
- Secondary Profile Permissions: Added controls for allowing secondary profiles to manage accounts, switch providers, add profiles, and configure startup preferences. Configure these from the primary profile under Settings → Account → Profiles → Privileges for secondary profiles (@glpc-blaze).
- Account-Isolated Progress & Libraries: Improved isolation of Continue Watching, resume points, watched status, libraries, and profile PINs across accounts and profiles, while preserving library changes made during synchronization (@glpc-blaze).
- Safer Account Switching: Prevented stale background sync requests from overwriting the active account's watchlist or discarding cached playback progress after switching accounts (@glpc-blaze, @Thunderhawkk).
- Account Settings Accessibility: Kept account-provider controls reachable in Settings and clearly marked Nuvio as experimental (@Thunderhawkk).
📺 Season Explorer & TVDB
- Redesigned Season Explorer: Overhauled Season Explorer with larger, consistently sized posters, centered captions, hover-scrolling for long titles, and hover-only carousel navigation arrows (@comet776).
- TVDB Anime Season Explorer: Added TVDB Season Explorer support to anime overview pages, unifying season browsing across anime and regular TV series (@comet776).
- Season Number Pills & English Names: Added clear season number badges and standardized English season titles while preserving localized synopses (@comet776).
- Multi-Tier Artwork Fallbacks: Season artwork now gracefully falls back from TVDB to TMDB, and finally to the main show poster if season art is missing or fails to load (@comet776).
- Localized Season Synopses: Season descriptions now follow your chosen metadata language, cleanly falling back to English when untranslated (@comet776).
- Performance & Layout Optimization: Reduced layout overhead and eliminated unnecessary re-renders when browsing and switching seasons (@comet776).
- Season Explorer Setting: The season shelf is on by default and can be turned off under Settings → Library → Metadata → Episode order → Season explorer. Anime uses Harbor's TVDB service without a key, while regular shows use your TVDB key or TMDB metadata (@comet776).
- Streaming Links Beside the Overview: Moved watch-provider and streaming links beside the overview and awards on wide detail layouts (@comet776).
🎌 Anime & Split-Cour Tracking

- Verified Continue Watching Episodes: Anime Continue Watching cards retain exact add-on entry IDs and provider episode mappings, showing the correct season and episode across desktop, Big Picture, and mobile (@comet776).
- Scoped Sequel Hiding: Hiding an episode now applies only to the matching sequel entry, so the same episode number in another cour stays visible (@Thunderhawkk).
- Multi-Episode & Sequel Navigation: Fixed next-episode navigation for anime files that contain multiple episodes and preserved sequel identity when switching to local or downloaded episodes (@Thunderhawkk).
- Simplified Anime Search: Removed the separate "Sequels & Prequels" search row so anime results appear without waiting on extra AniList requests (@comet776).

- "More Like This" End Screen: When you reach the end of a movie or episode—or during a customizable lead time before it finishes—a smart recommendation screen appears with suggested titles based on TMDB and Cinemeta (@Thunderhawkk).
- Corner Mini-Player: While browsing suggestions before a title concludes, your current video shrinks into a rounded corner mini-player with compact play, pause, progress, and volume controls so playback is never interrupted.
- Big Picture & Controller Navigation: Full D-pad and keyboard navigation support across cards, preview actions, mini-player controls, and "Keep Watching / Close" actions.

- Play in Your Own MPV (Experimental): You can now launch and watch video streams directly inside your system's standalone
mpvplayer (Settings → Player & quality → Engine → External player). Harbor cleanly preserves pause states, track selections, resume checkpoints, and episode titles (@momo-labsz). - Linux Picture-in-Picture (PiP): Fixed detached Picture-in-Picture window lifecycle and video restoration specifically for Linux desktop environments (@pengunnn).
- Consistent Sources Between Episodes: Improved next-episode playback and queue transitions to retain your selected addon, release group, quality, and dub, including when preferred addons respond late (@Thunderhawkk).

- Smoother Minimize & Restore: Preserved the native video surface while minimized to reduce playback stutters and unnecessary video-output resets (@Thunderhawkk).
- Improved End-Screen Recommendations: Added anime recommendations after the last aired episode, preloaded suggestions and artwork before entering the mini-player, and added English fallbacks for missing recommendation descriptions (@Thunderhawkk).
- Compact Content Advisories: Restored the compact advisory design with severity bars, badges, and animations, plus a live settings preview under Settings → Player layout → While you watch (@Thunderhawkk).

- Restored Profile Lists: Fixed a storage-key regression that could make existing profile lists disappear (@Thunderhawkk).
- Collection Author Credits: Saved community collections now show the original creator's name, handle, and avatar instead of your own (@Thunderhawkk).
🔄 PublicMetaDB (PMDB) & Watchlists
- Multiple Lists & Profiles: Browse multiple PublicMetaDB lists and set persistent default target lists per user profile (@comet776).
- Auto-Created Watchlists: Adding your first item to a missing PMDB watchlist will now automatically create the list (@comet776).
- Prevent Duplicate Continue Watching Cards: Mapped PublicMetaDB playback items to IMDb IDs, resolving an issue where duplicate Continue Watching cards would appear (@comet776).
- Alternate-ID Dismissal & Progress: Dismissed Continue Watching cards now reliably stay dismissed even when progress updates under an alternate ID (such as IMDb vs TMDB), preventing dismissed titles from reappearing (@Thunderhawkk).
- List Button Flicker: Fixed button flicker and state sync when adding or removing titles from PMDB lists (@comet776).
