The configuration file (version, instructions, gate, encoder, tunables, objective; skills compiled in), the run record's configuration version and handoff branch, a scripted provider for probes, s1 bench over any environment with the objective's scoreboard and failure groups, and s1 report over traces. The design these serve is docs/dual-loop.md: an outer System Two harness that calibrates an inner harness's configuration.
