Fixes

  • Answers stream as they are written. The relay between an agent and its model read the provider's stream in 4 KB blocks, so a short answer reached the agent all at once at its end, and a longer one in bursts. It now forwards what has arrived.
  • A provider that keeps the connection open and says nothing is reported. An aggregator can trickle keep-alive lines while its own upstream is silent; those kept the relay's timeout from ever firing. No event for the relay's wait (HR_RELAY_UPSTREAM_TIMEOUT_S, 600 s by default) now ends the call with the reason. The DeepSeek Harness has its own relay and takes the same two rules.
  • Release candidates no longer take the repository's "Latest" badge. A version with a pre-release part is published as a pre-release.
  • NOTICE names Grok Build's publisher as its own README and license do, SpaceXAI.

Both relay defects are reproduced by tests that drive the real handlers over real sockets. Neither was caught on a live provider: the long turns that prompted the look turned out to be one model streaming reasoning without end after its answer, which this release rightly leaves alone (see the note below).

Checked

On a self-hosted test instance, through the console: 75 harness and model pairs on nine bases, 359 of 375 scenario runs with no miss traced to these changes; the family tour 14 of 14 on the DeepSeek Harness and on Grok Build; and the released image again on four bases, 25 of 25.

Known, not fixed here

  • hunyuan-4-preview sometimes answers and then streams reasoning without finishing (about one turn in ten on the day it was measured), on any harness. A turn that does this runs until it is stopped or reaches its limits.
  • Aider on gpt-5.4 and gpt-5.5 answers "create a file, then reply DONE" with the word and no file (#379); without the last clause the file is written.
  • Hermes on a custom Anthropic-format connection (#374) and goose after switching back to an Anthropic-native connection (#375).
