This guide will show you how to build Password Generator Legacy. The guide is mainly optimized for Windows PCs.
The prerequisites you will need to build the legacy version of Password Generator are as follows:
-
a JDK versioned 17 - I recommend getting Eclipse Adoptium's OpenJDK
-
A Java IDE of your choice - I recommend getting the Eclipse IDE as that's the IDE it was developed on
-
Git
To clone Password Generator in Git, run the following command:
git clone https://github.com/Hedreon/PasswordGeneratorLegacy
Wait for the command to finish cloning.
Before you build, you have to first open the project in Eclipse IDE, locate the root folder of the repository, and wait for it to finish setting up completely.
To build the project, go down to the "Gradle Tasks" tab and expand the "PasswordGeneratorLegacy" tree. Once the tree has expanded, expand the "build" tree and double click on "build" (same name) to build the project.
