Release list
Gen1Recomp 0.2.56 for Leaf (r2)
Fixes a launcher message that made a working install look broken, and corrects the install instructions.
Fixed
The MODS panel claimed nothing was installed. The page only lists mods that target the selected cartridge, so Leaf Voxel (GEN 1) vanished while a Gen 2 tab was up — and the empty state read "No mods installed - drop a mod .zip here to add one." That reads as a failed install; it sent two people hunting through their SD card for a mod that was in the profile the whole time, enabled and loading. It now says what is actually true:
No mods for Pokemon Crystal - 1 installed. Choose All games above to see them.
Instructions
INSTALL.md no longer tells you to rescan the library by hand. That step was wrong: powering off, extracting the ZIP onto the card and booting scans automatically, and Central Scrutinizer → Roms/PORTS → upload the ZIP → Extract here places everything and refreshes the library for you. A manual rescan is mentioned only where it is genuinely needed.
Otherwise identical to v0.2.56-leaf: same pinned upstream payload, the same input patches, and Leaf Voxel 0.2.1 installed and enabled on first launch.

Gen1Recomp 0.2.56 for Leaf
PortMaster-compatible packaging of Gen1Recomp v0.2.56 for the Miniloong Pocket 1 running Leaf.
Full install guide — every step verified on a clean unit, from a fresh PortMaster install through to the Pokémon Red title screen.
Install, in short
- Install PortMaster via Pak Rat, launch it once so it fetches the LÖVE 11.5 runtime, accept the disclaimer, exit.
- Extract this ZIP into
Roms/PORTS/on the same SD card PortMaster is installed on — the one holding a.userdata/mlp1/portmaster/folder. Mount points can swap between boots, so go by that folder, not the card's name. - Menu → Actions → Rescan Library. The port will not appear until you do this.
- Games → Ports → Gen1Recomp.
- Import your own cartridge dump from inside the launcher, on first run.
.gb,.gbcand.zipall work.
What's inside
- The checksum-pinned upstream
.lovepayload with four handheld input patches applied. On a device with no mouse or touchscreen, stock upstream navigates poorly: the built-in pad is enumerated twice so every button fires twice, the launcher runs a virtual-cursor mode whose selection is invisible, and the focus ring could not reach list rows at all. See patches/README.md. - Leaf Voxel 0.2.1, installed and enabled for Red/Blue/Yellow on first launch.
- Tested display and performance defaults, seeded once into a new profile and never over your own changes.
Players supply their own compatible cartridge dumps. No ROM, imported cache or save is distributed.
