Chek at: https://github.com/Helium314/HeliBoard?tab=readme-ov-file#features In Options - Enhanced you'll find the option to load the library for glide typing. It will show you which file you need. |

Hello, sorry to disturb you about my naïve question. Where do we download the file corresponding to the gesture typing library? |
|
When I try to load gesture typing library, HeliBoard crashes and swyping does not work. I'm using a Xiaomi Pad 5 (nabu), running a Vanilla GSI LineageOS 23.2 (Android 16). I also tested several versions of libjni_latinimegoogle.so, e.g., I extracted it from the GAPPS GSI image. However, HeliBoard seems to remember that I tried to load a file: next time, I can delete the already loaded library in the dialog. |

Hello, would it be a good idea to implement that feature without having to any library? (or at least the user should do these kind of things!) What about having this feature built-in? |
Hi,
You can download the gesture typing library from the OpenBoard repository here:
For most modern devices, download the arm64-v8a/libjni_latinimegoogle.so file.
After downloading it, open HeliBoard and go to:
Settings → Advanced → Load gesture typing library
Then select the downloaded .so file. Once loaded, swipe/gesture typing should be available.
Hope this helps!
