Highlights

• DisplayMux now allows only one application instance to run at a time, preventing duplicate windows and background processes after repeated launches.
• When DisplayMux is already running, launching it again exits the new process and shows, restores, and focuses the existing main window.

Compatibility

• The single-instance restriction supports both Windows and macOS without changing existing tray, autostart, or display-switching settings.

Known limitations

• The macOS DMG is ad-hoc signed but not notarized with an Apple Developer ID, so Gatekeeper may require manual approval.
• Some MST, DisplayLink, and Silicon Motion docks do not forward DDC/CI. Software cannot restore control signals that the hardware does not expose.
