Highlights

  • The first-run experience is now an interactive five-step Product Tour that spotlights the actual Switch Center, settings entry, shared-display selector, host-pairing area, and save action.
  • The tour moves to the relevant page, scrolls the highlighted control into view, positions its tooltip around the available space, and can be reopened from Help at any time.
  • Existing installations are not mistaken for new installations, while completing or skipping the tour is saved for future launches.

Update experience

  • Update release notes now render common Markdown formatting in a larger, scrollable dialog instead of showing raw Markdown source.
  • Help now includes a Release History table with each release date, version, and a direct GitHub link for checking full version details.

Compatibility

  • The Product Tour and update-note improvements support both Windows and macOS and do not change existing display, host, autostart, or update preferences.

Known limitations

  • The macOS DMG is ad-hoc signed but not notarized with an Apple Developer ID, so Gatekeeper may require manual approval.
  • Some MST, DisplayLink, and Silicon Motion docks do not forward DDC/CI. Software cannot restore control signals that the hardware does not expose.

  • 導覽會自動前往對應頁面、將醒目標示的控制項捲動至可視範圍，並依可用空間放置 Tooltip；日後可隨時從使用說明重新啟動。
  • 既有安裝不會被誤判為首次安裝，完成或略過導覽後也會保存狀態，避免下次啟動重複顯示。

  • 更新說明視窗已加大並支援捲動，常用 Markdown 格式會轉換為易讀內容，不再直接顯示 Markdown 原始語法。
  • 使用說明新增版本紀錄表格，提供每個版本的更新日期、版本與 GitHub 連結，方便查看完整版本內容。

相容性

  • Product Tour 與更新說明改善同時支援 Windows 與 macOS，不會改變既有的螢幕、主機、自動啟動或更新偏好設定。

已知限制

  • macOS DMG 使用 ad-hoc 簽章，尚未使用 Apple Developer ID 公證，因此 Gatekeeper 可能要求手動允許。
  • 部分 MST、DisplayLink 與 Silicon Motion Dock 不會轉送 DDC/CI；若硬體未轉送控制訊號，軟體端無法補回。
