BuffTap 1.16.0
Nearby player buffing
Optional compact Nearby window shows eligible players with class-coloured names and missing-buff icons. Click a name or use your existing buff binding.
Enable Nearby buffing in the Target tab, or Shift-left-click the minimap icon. Friendly player nameplates must be enabled, normally with Shift+V. Nearby starts disabled, follows your Target preferences and supports named profiles.
- Movable, lockable window with stable rows and a scrollbar.
- Quiet nearby notifications and restoration of your previous target.
- Out-of-combat casts require player input, with recipient combat and PvP protection checks.
- Improved follow-up aura detection for normal and nearby buffs, including Thorns.
- Per-spell range updates detect secondary buffs without selecting the player.
- Rows stay visible but disarmed during cooldown; low mana has an explicit message.
- Confirmed stronger-effect rejections skip that buff and advance to another buff or player.
Validated with 1,184 automated Lua 5.1 scenarios, syntax checks and ZIP integrity verification.
Install the attached BuffTap-1.16.0.zip, rather than the automatic source archives.
BuffTap 1.15.5
BuffTap 1.15.5
- Added Prevent accidental PvP flagging in Helpers, enabled by default and saved with shared profiles. Includes group spells and protection while leaving PvP; battlegrounds and arenas are exempt from this guard.
- Confirmed range or line-of-sight failures temporarily skip that recipient for 10 seconds, continue the queue, then retry automatically. Intentional dismissals and stronger-buff protection remain separate.
- Clearer status and debug messages distinguish unavailable buff data, unknown blessing ownership, PvP protection and temporary retries.
- Improved blessing ownership checks using Forever's exact-aura filter when the caster token is unavailable. Unknown or restricted evidence still blocks replacement safely.
- Preserve readable buff coverage when unrelated timing data is restricted. Unknown timing never triggers a refresh, and incomplete scans never establish that a buff is missing.
- Blessing priorities can advance past dismissed or stronger-effect-suppressed choices while preserving your own blessings and fixed assignments.
Validation: 1,061 mocked Lua 5.1 scenarios passed; Lua syntax and package contents verified. Live-client verification remains outstanding.
If a target is unexpectedly skipped, keep them selected and run /bt debug, then include the output and your buff priorities in the report.
BuffTap 1.15.4
BuffTap 1.15.4
- Improved friendly-target debug output to explain unavailable target data, unreadable aura scans, unknown blessing casters, retained own blessings, group assignment overrides and dismissed reminders.
- Added up to two additional one-shot retries for incomplete target data. Recovery remains bounded and stops on target changes, combat or disabled functionality.
- Fixed first-choice target selection with fallback disabled bypassing ownership checks. Your existing blessing remains protected in both modes.
- Corrected the internal version shown in diagnostics.
Unknown ownership and restricted aura data still block replacement safely. This update improves troubleshooting and recovery; the original intermittent report has not been reproduced in the live client.
Validation: 1,001 mocked Lua 5.1 scenarios passed. Shipped Lua and archive contents verified.
If a target is unexpectedly skipped, keep that player selected and run /bt debug. Include the output, Target priorities and whether Kings was yours or another Paladin's.
BuffTap 1.15.3
BuffTap 1.15.3
- Added Show reminder button under Customization → Reminder appearance. Turn it off to hide the button and labels while keeping your buffing binding and optional sounds active.
- Hidden reminders do not intercept mouse clicks or display tooltips. Manual-only reminders cannot be clicked while hidden.
- The visibility setting saves with shared profiles and defaults to enabled. Reset look restores the button, and appearance preview remains available.
Validation: 990 mocked Lua 5.1 scenarios passed. Shipped Lua and package contents verified.
BuffTap 1.15.2
BuffTap 1.15.2
- Redesigned Paladin group setup with separate Party and Raid plans, clear class assignments, and icon summaries for raid-group overrides.
- Choose one blessing for everyone or use class priorities and individual player exceptions. Saved class choices return when switching back.
- Greater Blessings check agreement across all affected players; conflicting assignments use individual blessings.
- Updated Salvation and Mass Salvation handling for the latest Forever changes. Salvation is configured separately, and previous opt-ins pause for review after updating.
- Profiles preserve character-specific plans, with optional copying between matching classes.
- Fixed player lists after roster changes, preserved existing party exclusions, and restored access to inherited recipient filters.
- Reduced unnecessary inventory refreshes and settings processing; removed obsolete and unused UI code.
Validation: 983 mocked Lua 5.1 scenarios passed. Shipped Lua and package contents verified.
After updating, Paladins should review Salvation permissions and their Party/Raid plans.

Warlock stones and Soulstone
- Choose Firestone or Spellstone for your main hand, independently of oils and stones. BuffTap can create a missing stone, then apply it on your next click.

- Clearer Helpers sections, compact Solo thanks, class icons and improved spacing without scrolling. Soulstone settings stay open until Escape or Done.
- Diagnostics now displays the installed addon version; debug output also includes it.
Thanks to kristofdenolf1985-arch for the contribution in PR #2. Original contributor commits and bundled credits are preserved.
Every cast and item use requires player input and remains out of combat. New helpers are opt-in.
825 mocked Lua 5.1 scenarios passed; package integrity verified. Live Warlock verification remains pending for weapon effects, Soulstone targeting and the creation hand-off.
