HowToUse

Below are the instructions for using the included Blender addon:

Install the addon in Blender 3.4 or run it as a script.

In the Blender console, if you see the message "[*] Listening on 0.0.0.0:9998," it is working correctly.

Run your application and use hand tracking. Enter the IP address of the PC running Blender in the application's menu.

In Blender, select the object you want to send. Press the "Sent mesh" button in the object properties panel or choose "Update Mesh" from the hand menu. This will send the mesh from Blender to the application.

If you don't configure the server correctly, communication won't work. Therefore, we recommend using the following methods:

1. Use Mobile Hotspot Function

The mobile hotspot function is a built-in feature in Windows. You can set it up from the network settings in the control panel. Enable the mobile hotspot on the PC running Blender, and then connect your xR device to the mobile hotspot network. This allows for direct communication between devices without going through a router, making it easy to test.

2. Use a VPN

You can use a VPN like Tailscale to enable communication even from external networks.

These methods can help ensure successful communication between devices when the server is properly configured.

HoloLens

Please use the Device Portal to install the application.

MetaQuest3

You can use MR mode and enable Hand Tracking. Please install the APK file using platforms like SideQuest.
