Hotfix for v0.1.4. Windows 10/11 x64.

Fixed

  • Controllers did not work in v0.1.4. No button reached the game, so it stayed on the demo and the "You can use the following Controllers" screen. A build step bound the game's controller reading to the wrong place; controllers work again, as in v0.1.3. Thanks for the quick report.

Nothing else changed: this is v0.1.4 with only this fix. Everything new in v0.1.4 (real MLB schedules, Season Editor, DH in both leagues, 15/15 leagues, player passwords) is described in the v0.1.4 notes.

Install / update

  1. Download MLB-Power-Pros-2008-Setup-v0.1.4.1.zip and unzip it into a folder of yours (not Program Files).
  2. Open MLBPowerPros2008-Setup.exe, press CHOOSE DISC and pick your copy, then INSTALL and PLAY.

Coming from v0.1.4 or older: after installing, copy UserData\NAND and UserData\ModSaves (your saves) and the mods folder from the old MLB Power Pros 2008\Game folder into the new one, then delete the old install.

About the controller settings: the Wii "+" button is START in the remapping list (the game sees a GameCube controller). If a controller still shows up as a Wii Remote after unchecking the Wii Remote option, please tell us in the issue, with your controller model.
