Introducing the Windows Top Bar V1
The new Windows Top Bar provides fast access to everyday tools and useful information from a compact, customizable notch at the top of the desktop.
Choose between standard and compact notch styles, open the bar by hovering or selecting it, pin it open when needed, keep it above other windows, and optionally launch it automatically when signing in to Windows. The Top Bar also adapts to display resolution and scaling changes to remain centered and accessible.
The Top Bar includes five dedicated views:

Apps: Quickly launch favorite applications and Windows tools.

Folders: Open frequently used folders, add folders through the folder picker, or drag and drop one or multiple folders directly from File Explorer.

Performance: Monitor processor usage and temperature, memory usage, storage temperature, disk and network activity, system power, battery discharge, and application memory.

World Clocks: View the current time and date across multiple locations and time zones.

Network Quality: Test an IP address or domain and monitor current and average latency, jitter, packet loss, minimum and maximum response times, and a live visual history.
Apps, folders, and clocks can be individually removed or cleared as a group through their right-click menus.
Network tests start only when requested and stop when leaving the view, while the current response time remains visible in the collapsed notch during an active test.
The Windows Top Bar can also be opened directly from the app's Windows Jump List, providing a convenient way to display it without opening the main application window.
Note
This is only the V1 of the Top Bar. Future versions will have a lot of additional capabilities and features. If you would like to request any specific feature, please create an issue on this repo for your request.
Tip
If you select "Start with Windows", it will automatically launch when you restart your system.

Dedicated MCP Server app for Agentic Workflows
Have you ever wanted to simply ask ChatGPT to harden your Windows? Now You Can!
- Install the MCP Server for the Harden System Security to access the app's features in your agentic workflows. It is a lightweight 1MB app that works as a relay between the main app and your AI models.
You can use this in GitHub Copilot app, Visual Studio Code and any other program that uses the MCP protocol.
Things you can do locally by simply asking AI (either via typing or voice/speaking):
- Verify security hardening and score of your system
- Apply security hardening based on presets available in the Harden System Security app
- Remove security hardening based on presets available in the Harden System Security app
- Create a QR code image based on any text
- Decode QR code images
- Verify the security reputation of files based on Microsoft Defender SmartScreen or Smart App Control's cloud verdicts.
Feature Highlights Carousel
A new carousel is displayed when you install the app for the first time on a system, showing you a few guides and general information. You can dismiss it by clicking anywhere outside of it and you can access it at any time from the app's toolbar.
