@Hqzdev Hqzdev released this 28 Jun 16:56
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

Linux.

macOS

Tether.

  • Source перенесён из ui в apps/macos.
  • Build scripts

Manual release asset:

  • Tether.dmg

Linux beta

  • Tauri desktop shell.
  • React graph UI и inspector.
  • Shared core/proxy sidecar.
  • Start/stop local proxy.
  • Trace nodes через shared proxy API.
  • AppImage и deb packaging через GitHub Actions.

  • Beta quality.
  • Core local trace inspection работает.
  • Packaging

Release assets:

  • .AppImage
  • .deb

Architecture

apps/
  web/
  macos/
  linux/
  windows/
core/
  proxy/
monitoring/
scripts/

Это layered monolith, не microservices. Platform apps отвечают за desktop/web experience, а core/proxy отвечает за capture, provider routing, trace storage, replay boundaries, health checks и shared backend behavior.

v1.7 — Linux Beta and Fix bugs

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Jun 20:03
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

v1.7 — What's Changed

Tether v1.7 adds a Linux desktop app in beta and migrates the project to a new platform architecture.

Highlights

  • Added Linux app in beta.
  • Restructured the project around separate platforms: apps/macos, apps/linux, apps/web, apps/windows.
  • Moved the shared Rust proxy to core/proxy so macOS and Linux share one backend.
  • Updated macOS build flow for the new structure.
  • Added Linux build/package flow for AppImage and deb.
  • Updated the site, README, and docs to reflect Linux support.

macOS

macOS remains the primary native desktop version of Tether.

What changed:

  • Source moved from ui to apps/macos.
  • Build scripts now use the new path.
  • DMG is built manually via scripts/package-dmg.sh and can be attached to a release separately.
  • App still uses the shared proxy from core/proxy.
  • Execution graph, sidebar, inspector, replay, and local proxy workflow remain the core of the macOS app.

Manual release asset:

  • Tether.dmg

Linux Beta

The Linux app is now available as a beta desktop client.

What's in:

  • Tauri desktop shell.
  • React graph UI and inspector.
  • Shared core/proxy sidecar.
  • Start/stop local proxy.
  • Trace nodes via shared proxy API.
  • AppImage and deb packaging via GitHub Actions.

Status:

  • Beta quality.
  • Core local trace inspection works.
  • Packaging connected.
  • Full parity polish with macOS still in progress.

Release assets:

  • .AppImage
  • .deb

Architecture

New project structure:

V1.6 - Improve app and add new functions

Choose a tag to compare

@Hqzdev Hqzdev released this 25 Jun 16:51
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

What's new

Codex local log support

Tether now reads local Codex events and builds trace nodes directly from your logs. No proxy setup required — just point Tether at your Codex log directory and get full trace visibility out of the box.

Execution graph

The graph has been expanded beyond LLM call trees. You now see the full picture of what your agent actually did:

  • Requests and responses
  • Modified files with diffs and line counts
  • Shell, test, and git events
  • Failed states with recovery actions

This makes it significantly easier to understand why an agent run went wrong and what it attempted to fix.

Graph navigation

  • Clicking a node in the sidebar now moves the camera to that node in the graph
  • Keyboard shortcuts reviewed and updated
  • Replay and compare actions for local Codex log nodes now work correctly

What's Changed

  • Add observability and validation foundations by @Hqzdev in #8

V1.5 - Optimize app Fix bugs

Choose a tag to compare

@Hqzdev Hqzdev released this 18 Jun 10:44
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

Release date: 2026-06-18

Changes

  • Redesigned the inspector replay controls with clearer primary and secondary actions.
  • Improved the right inspector header, live status badge, and model metadata readability.
  • Updated graph cards with better spacing, clearer latency/token layout, hidden zero-cost labels, and animated rounded
    connection paths.
  • Fixed scroll handling so the graph canvas no longer steals scroll input from the inspector and sidebar.
  • Reworked sidebar call rows with a stronger active status indicator.
  • Replaced the landing hero video with a larger embedded cinematic product preview.
  • Removed intro wordmark and marketing phrases so the landing preview opens directly on the app interface.

Notes

This release focuses on UI clarity across the desktop app and a cleaner landing-page product preview for macOS users
evaluating Tether.

V1.3 — Context Boundary Inspector and infrastructure improvements

Choose a tag to compare

@Hqzdev Hqzdev released this 15 Jun 16:08
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

What's new

  • New Context Boundary Inspector split for LLM node into two layers: context assembly + LLM call.
  • Added structured context input grouping (files, skills, MCP results, memory/search) with default hash/path display and expandable raw body view.
  • Added withheld/deferred section with reasons (prompt filters, truncation, deferred/filtered context inputs).
  • Added replay impact visibility: reason + output hash diff + downstream invalidation trail.
  • Added redacted default mode for nodes (raw prompt/response hidden unless explicitly expanded).

Bug fixes

  • Ensured node metadata includes provider/model and cost/latency where available.
  • Improved trace/replay payload model compatibility to avoid raw prompt leaks in default inspector view.
  • Fixed export and UI consistency after tab split (context/llm-call/response/metadata).

Installation

  1. Download Tether.dmg
  2. Open → drag to Applications
  3. Right-click → Open (Gatekeeper workaround)
