Extension, CLI and integrations at 0.6.0. The CLI package now declares mcpName (io.github.Hugelidus/pointcast) for the MCP Registry.

pointcast setup: one command, whatever your agent and stack (D14)

  • npx pointcast@latest setup, run in your project, finds Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and Cursor and adds Pointcast to each one its documented way: the plugin for Claude Code and Codex, the extension for Gemini CLI, the MCP server (pinned to the CLI's exact version) in the project's .cursor/mcp.json for Cursor, merged with the servers already there. Agents that already have it are skipped.
  • It says what your stack needs: the pointcast-django install line and the INSTALLED_APPS line for a Django project (your Python files are never edited), and that React, Vue and Svelte dev builds need nothing. It prints how to add the browser extension, then runs pointcast doctor.
  • Asks y/N before each change and shows the exact command or file first. --yes accepts all, --dry-run shows the plan only, --json reports for agents. Without a terminal and without --yes it is a dry run.
