Download KOAI-Setup-v2026.08.03.4-Windows.exe, double-click it, and follow the
installer. KOAI then starts from the Start menu.

For the next release just run the new installer the same way: it finds the existing
KOAI and replaces it. Your data is kept.

macOS

Download KOAI-v2026.08.03.4-macOS.dmg, open it, and drag the KOAI icon
into the Applications folder.

The first time you start it, right-click (or Control-click) KOAI and choose
Open — then click Open once more in the window that appears. You only need to
do this once: this build is not notarised by Apple, so macOS asks first whether you
really want it. The detailed walkthrough is in the attached INSTALL_MACOS_UNSIGNED.md
file.

Cowork relay (optional)

The relay is what your KOAI devices use to find each other and hand work over — even
when the other machine is switched off. You only need it if you use KOAI on more than
one machine.

Pick the file that matches your machine, double-click it, and follow the wizard. It
asks a few questions (which port to listen on, what address your devices should reach
it at, whether you want encryption) and takes care of the rest. At the end it prints
the address you need to enter in the KOAI app under Settings → Cowork.

On a Mac, unpack the downloaded file and open it with a right-click, the same way as
KOAI itself. On Linux, double-clicking the downloaded file opens your system's own
software installer, and afterwards Set up KOAI Relay appears in your menu.

This relay is yours alone: nobody but you can sign in to it. The first account created
becomes its owner, and after that further accounts can only be registered with an
invite code.

If you run the installer again later, that is an update: your settings, your
certificate and the devices you have already admitted are kept.

kövesd a telepítőt. Utána a KOAI a Start menüből indul.

A következő kiadásnál ugyanígy futtasd az új telepítőt: felismeri a meglévő KOAI-t
és a helyére kerül. Az adataid megmaradnak.

KOAI ikont az Applications mappába.

Első indításnál jobb gombbal (vagy Control + kattintás) kattints a KOAI-ra, és
válaszd a Megnyitás lehetőséget — majd a megjelenő ablakban még egyszer a
Megnyitás gombot. Erre csak egyszer van szükség: ez a build nincs az Apple-nél
hitelesítve, ezért a macOS elsőre megkérdezi, tényleg akarod-e. A részletes leírás a
mellékelt INSTALL_MACOS_UNSIGNED.md fájlban van.

Cowork relay (nem kötelező)

A relay az, amin keresztül a KOAI-eszközeid megtalálják egymást és átadják egymásnak
a munkát — akkor is, ha a másik gép éppen ki van kapcsolva. Csak akkor van rá
szükséged, ha több gépen használod a KOAI-t.

Válaszd ki a gépedhez tartozó fájlt, kattints rá duplán, és kövesd a varázslót. Néhány
kérdést tesz fel (melyik porton figyeljen, milyen címen érjék el az eszközeid, kell-e
titkosítás), a többit elintézi magától. A végén kiírja azt a címet, amit a KOAI appban
a Beállítások → Cowork oldalon meg kell adnod.

Macen a letöltött fájlt kicsomagolás után jobb gombbal nyisd meg, ugyanúgy, ahogy magát
a KOAI-t. Linuxon a letöltött fájlra duplán kattintva a rendszer saját
szoftvertelepítője nyílik meg, utána pedig a menüben megjelenik a KOAI Relay
beállítása.

Ez a relay csak a tiéd: rajtad kívül senki nem tud belépni rá. Az elsőként létrehozott
fiók lesz a tulajdonosa, utána már csak meghívókóddal lehet továbbiakat regisztrálni.

Ha később újra lefuttatod a telepítőt, az frissítés: a beállításaid, a tanúsítványod és
a már beléptetett eszközeid megmaradnak.
