Licensing

Terraform-Guardrail is released under the Business Source License (BSL) 1.1.

What this means

✅ Free to use for:

  • Internal enterprise platforms
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Evaluation, learning, and experimentation
  • Open-source contributions

❌ Not allowed without permission:

  • Offering Terraform-Guardrail as a paid product or SaaS
  • Embedding it into commercial platforms or services
  • Reselling or monetizing the software directly

Commercial Usage

Commercial use requires explicit written permission from the author.

If you wish to:

  • Offer Terraform-Guardrail as a managed service
  • Embed it into a commercial platform
  • Distribute it as part of a paid product
