Caster's Compendium v0.1.7

v0.1.7 improves Tabletop Simulator image clarity and introduces the project's
candidate-to-stable release safeguards. The Debian/Ubuntu rc.2 package was
accepted after hands-on application and export testing. Every supported package
also completed the automated release build.

Sharper Tabletop Simulator exports

  • Generate hosted TTS sheets from the full-resolution card-art cache.
  • Limit hosted sheets to three cards in one row so TTS receives substantially
    clearer card faces.
  • Scale offline fallback sheets from their cached source artwork while keeping
    the complete texture within an 8192-pixel compatibility boundary.
  • Export native DeckCustom objects so saved decks receive the expected TTS
    deck behavior and icon.
  • Publish immutable hosted catalog v2 and retain catalog v1 for existing saved
    objects.

Existing saved TTS objects continue to reference their original sheets. Export
the deck again after updating to use catalog v2.

Visible application version

  • Display the running version in the lower-right corner of the main menu.
  • Keep the value tied to the same application version used by diagnostics and
    update requests.

Release-process safeguards

  • Establish VERSION as the authoritative public version.
  • Validate application, package, documentation, and tag metadata in CI.
  • Record package-level coverage for default and migrated-Fyne test modes.
  • Add a reusable human smoke-test checklist and candidate-to-stable process.
  • Add updater and next-release planning documentation.

Known limitation

Exported decks currently do not display a custom icon inside Tabletop
Simulator. Card loading and play are unaffected; custom TTS thumbnails remain
planned for a later release.

AI transparency

Hybrid selected and approved this release scope and explicitly authorized
OpenAI Codex to implement the release-process safeguards and the TTS
image-quality changes. Codex authored the relevant production changes, tests,
documentation, catalog publication, and release preparation under Hybrid's
direction. Hybrid remains responsible for product acceptance, hands-on package
testing, and stable-release approval. See

Release verification

The release includes SHA-256 checksums, an SPDX software bill of materials,
and GitHub artifact attestations. Windows and macOS packages remain unsigned
and may display a first-launch security prompt.
