Twitch Retold v2.5.0

🚀 What's New:

  • The same look as the mobile app: A top bar with quick search (Ctrl+K), a side column with your followed channels that are live, and new Home, Following, Browse and Recent screens. Native Twitch pages, such as subscriptions and gift subs, keep working.
  • Player V2 for live streams and VODs: The mobile app player comes to desktop: the same controls, quality and speed in one panel, side chat on VODs and resume from where you left off.
  • Customize the new interface: In Settings choose what the bar and the column show, the start page, the preview size, the player controls and the animations. The chat box has been redesigned.
  • Announcements from the team: A window shows important news only once and in your language, starting with the latest Twitch Retold for Android, with a QR code to scan with your phone.
  • Reliable automatic updates: The desktop and Android apps publish in the same place: the update check now looks only at desktop versions and no longer stops when a mobile version comes out.

Note

🛡️ RetoldShield Ongoing Development
RetoldShield is under active and continuous development. While it eliminates the vast majority of preroll and midroll ads at native 1080p60 Source resolution without buffering, Twitch frequently updates its delivery infrastructure and a few ads may still occasionally slip through. Continuous engine updates and refinements are being deployed regularly.
