Compositor for Windows 0.1.4 — Preview

Windows 11 x64 preview of Compositor, originally created by Robbie Tilton.

Download the MSI to install, or extract the portable ZIP and run Compositor.exe. Runtime libraries and the offline foreground model are included. The demo ZIP contains an editable project and an editing exercise. The source ZIP matches this build; the repository retains the full Windows development history.

This preview includes the custom dark interface, vector tool icons, and native Windows title bars by default. View → Appearance → Mac-style title bar enables the optional Mac appearance. Version 0.1.4 updates project credits, package naming, and documentation for public availability.

Upstream baseline: Mac Compositor 1.0.4, commit a19db9011282399785dc18efcfded904627bdcc2. Newer Mac features have not been integrated. Windows preview version numbers are currently independent.

Validation: source export builds; 24 selected regression checks, the manual-update policy test, native window-control probe, and 18-step editing workflow pass. Six portable deployment checks pass. Local MSI upgrade and installed runtime health return 0. The package records its source commit and sourceDirty: false.

Known limits: unsigned downloads and manual updates; pauses with large soft brushes; imperfect foreground edges and transparent subjects; six retained discrepancies in the earlier full regression and an intermittent ASAN shutdown stall. Fresh Windows environments and Mac exchange have not been verified. See known issues.
