New Features

• general: Help and config commands show all positional arguments with meaningful names and their type when not plain text, e.g. <account:Hash>, <account_id>, <path>, <source> <destination>.
• general: Values of options and arguments with a schema owned by ascli (e.g. ts, transfer, out, http_options) are validated: the error shows the path of the invalid element and the reason. New gem dependency: json_schemer.
• general: Deprecation warnings, help and config options show the last version supporting a deprecated option and its replacement, e.g. deprecated after 4.27.0: use --out.level.
• general: New Windows portable package aspera-cli-<version>-windows-amd64-portable.zip in GitHub releases: includes Ruby, gems and ascp, no installation nor administrator rights needed.
• general: New options --out.colors and --out.utf8 to enable or disable ANSI colors and Unicode characters in terminal output, instead of auto-detection.
• config: completion bash|zsh|fish displays the completion script of the shell, included in the gem: activate with eval "$(ascli config completion bash)" (see manual).
• config: options shows in column allowed the expected type of options without a list of values when not plain text, e.g. Hash, Integer, Hash|String.
• config: commands accepts an optional plugin name and command path, and shows sub-trees provided by another plugin (e.g. aoc files) as a reference unless option expand_mounts is yes.
• aoc: automation covers the whole Automation API: new workflows update_state|cancel_instances|delete_instances|permissions, instances cancel, steps, actions.
• console: New commands transfer current submit, transfer smart pause, transfer queue <queue_id> list|move_forwards|move_back, endpoint list, ssh_key list, admin email_server_update|nodeapi_credentials_update. health also checks health/up. Help shows request body schemas.
• orchestrator: workflows start <workflow_id> [<parameters>] [<execution>] takes an optional Hash argument execution (synchronous, step, variable).

Issues Fixed

• aoc, ats, cos, node, faspex5, shares: Help, shell completion and config commands now show all positional arguments and all sub-commands of commands executed on a node (e.g. aoc files permission <path> list).
• aoc: automation commands were failing or misbehaving (workflows list, workflows action, instances).
• aoc: admin node do <id> transfer and admin workspace shared_folder <id> node <id> transfer were always failing: they now take the same arguments as files transfer.
• aoc: user contacts show|create|modify|delete were failing.
• aoc: short_link create|modify were ignoring the provided password and access_levels.
• faspex5: admin account show was failing, admin file_processing next was not available.
• shares: files spec|transport and admin user|group all|local show|modify|delete <id> were failing.
• mcp: Secrets (e.g. from config preset show) are now hidden in tool results.
• node: telemetry with interval 0 was rejected instead of sending a single measure.
• config: Option sdk_folder with value product:<name> was taken as a folder path.
• config: transferd install was failing when the download server sends a Content-Disposition header.
• config: On a new configuration, preset update|set|ask with a password, and preset show|get|unset|delete GLOBAL, declared a global preset without creating it: all following commands were failing. preset delete also removes default declarations referring to the deleted preset.
• config: options returned empty rows with option fields or select.
• general: Temporary files (e.g. ascp file list) could be deleted before use, causing random transfer failures: failed to open input file list (since 4.27.1).
• general: Option cert_stores was adding to the system default locations instead of replacing them, as documented (use DEF to include the default).
• general: Dot-path options: --log.secrets=yes was failing, indexes on an Array option were duplicating values, --show-config was showing internal values for some options.
• general: Help was failing when a schema enum contains null, --query=help was missing parameters defined by $ref.
• general: Log format caller showed ??? with Ruby < 3.4.
• general: The error for a missing default preset now suggests config preset initialize instead of obsolete commands.

Breaking Changes

• general: In dot-path values (e.g. --ts.x=yes, config preset set), yes and no are converted to Boolean: use @json:"yes" to get a String. In a structured value, out.table.pivot is false, true or single.
• preview: Renamed option mimemagic to detect_mime.
• server: ls|rm|mkdir|du|md5sum|mv|cp require at least one path, df|info take no argument. mv|cp take <source> <destination> pairs, or only sources with option to_folder.
• console: transfer current change_rate|change_policy require a <data> argument instead of option query. transfer current move_forwards|move_back moved to transfer queue <queue_id> move_forwards|move_back <transfer_id>.
• aoc: automation workflows action show replaced by automation actions show, automation instances modify replaced by automation instances cancel.
• orchestrator: Options synchronous and result are deprecated, use argument execution of workflows start.
• config: completion bash <words> renamed completion words <words>: completion bash now displays the completion script. Scripts previously downloaded from folder etc/ shall be replaced (see manual).
