Use Cases
Mark Item Returned: The finder updates post as resolved after item is physically returned.
Provide Pickup Instructions: The finder provides pickup instructions for the lost item to owner.
Post Found Item: The finder submits item photo, description, item type, location found, date found, and holding location.
Review Ownership Claim: The finder reviews claim request and approves or rejects the claim.
Register Account: A student creates an account using their email address.
View Item Details: A potential owner opens a post to see the item details (description, photo, date, etc.) submitted by the finder.
Search and Filter Posts: A potential owner searches reported items and can narrow results by item type, date, and location.
View Pickup Instructions: The approved owner can review pickup instructions made by the finder to retrive their item.
Submit Ownership Claim: An owner submits a claim with identifying details to a finder for their lost item to retrieve.
Verify Email Address: The student receives a verification link through an external email service and confirms the email is theirs.
The Register Account use case includes Verify Email Address because students must verify their email address in order to complete the registration of their account.
