This update overhauls and extends the Database query code as well as improving the logging system. Besides that there are now also two npm packages available that can be used to install Simpl, or add-ons to an existing Simpl installation, using various npx commands, see the README for more information.

Most notable changes are:

  • An overhaul to the Database system, now more flexible and easier to use, no more manual query writing.
  • Logging system now has configurable levels and is better formatted.
  • TypeScript files have gotten an overhaul in structure that makes them easier to use and more clear to read.
  • New packages to install Simpl or an add-on using npx commands.
  • Some improvements to the nav menu and scaling on the site using font-size: clamp().
  • Improved READMEs for add-ons.

From this release onward no more downloadable binaries will be provided in the releases. Simpl and its add-ons can now be installed via npx commands. It will always be possible to clone the Simpl repository or download the add-ons or src folders manually.
