AIT Multilingual Translate 0.4.0 - Public Beta

This release expands multilingual routing, provider support, protected-content handling, diagnostics, and release validation while preserving the existing translation queue and storage workflow.

Added

  • Regional locale support with exact-locale and base-language fallback.
  • Separate source content language and default frontend language settings.
  • Unified provider registry with Claude, Yandex Translate, YandexGPT, Mistral AI, DeepSeek, Qwen, and Baidu Qianfan.
  • Secure provider connection testing with unsaved settings.
  • Protected-content pipeline for scripts, styles, templates, comments, shortcodes, and technical blocks.
  • Improved canonical, hreflang, and x-default output.
  • Configuration migration backup, cache signature versioning, and new diagnostics.
  • Automated locale, protected-content, provider, DOM pipeline, and mocked HTTP tests.

  • Provider key masking and support for wp-config.php constants or environment variables.
  • Recursive exclusions and selector validation.
  • Settings organization, documentation, security notes, and translation template.
  • ZIP packaging safeguards and release checks.

Validation

  • Plugin Check: 0 errors.
  • PHP and JavaScript syntax checks passed.
  • Activation, deactivation, reactivation, and HTTP smoke tests passed.
  • Provider HTTP tests use mocked requests; no paid external API calls were made.

Public Beta: test on a staging site and create a backup before bulk translation.
