RC-VOLT Telemetry System v0.2.1-beta

🎯 Beta Release Candidate - Dual Unit System

First beta release including Primary controller and Secondary GPS/IMU hub.

📦 Primary Unit (19 files)

Hardware: M5Stack AtomS3 Lite (ESP32-S3)

Features:

  • RC PWM capture with ISR timing (GPIO 5/6/7)
  • I2C controller for Secondary (0x55) and Audio (0x56)
  • WiFi AP with web dashboard (SSID: RC-VOLT)
  • Real-time WebSocket telemetry at 5Hz
  • Session management with auto-start/stop
  • 2,500-point circular data buffer
  • Battery modeling with voltage sag calculation
  • Wheelspin detection (AWD/RWD/FWD profiles)
  • Thermal estimation for motor/battery
  • DHT22 ambient temperature/humidity
  • Steering calibration & CSV export

📦 Secondary Unit (1 file)

Hardware: M5Stack AtomS3 (ESP32-S3) or compatible

  • I2C peripheral at address 0x55
  • GPS parsing and position data
  • MPU6050 IMU (accelerometer + gyroscope)
  • Pitch/roll calculation
  • G-force measurement

Installation

  1. Arduino IDE with ESP32 board support
  2. Libraries: ESPAsyncWebServer, AsyncTCP, ArduinoJson, DHT sensor library, TinyGPS++
  3. Flash Primary to AtomS3 Lite
  4. Flash Secondary to AtomS3
  5. Connect via Grove I2C cable
