What's New

  • Workspace Search panel — New integrated search panel (live search + replace) with quick navigation to results and a compact UI for searching the workspace.
  • Search keybinding — Added Ctrl+Shift+F to open the workspace search UI.
  • Get Involved (Help modal + Landing Page) — Added a dedicated "Get Involved" tab in the Help modal and a matching section on the Landing Page with a custom Sponsor button and direct links to open GitHub issues or the repo. Buttons are styled for visual consistency across the app.
  • Tab context menu — TabBar now supports right-click context menu actions: Close, Close Others, Close to the Right, Close All.
  • Terminal input polish — Improved terminal editing: proper cursor movement, insert/delete behavior, paste handling, and guards so the prompt can't be erased. This makes interactive shell editing much more reliable.
  • Editor diagnostics improvements — Diagnostic markers are now tracked across files and re-applied when switching files; editor gained a revealLine helper for easier navigation-based flows.
  • FileExplorer / Tree node validation — New validation for file/folder names on create/rename (prevents invalid names and duplicates) with inline error feedback.
  • PeerAvatars UX improvements — Better inline edit popover for the local user, click-to-go-to-peer-file behavior, and color selection in the avatar popover.

Fixes & Internal

  • Consistent button and modal styles — HelpModal, Landing Page, and other UI pieces were aligned to use consistent button sizing and hover/active states.
  • Icons consolidated — Additional icons and the Heart icon were added to src/components/Icons.tsx for reuse across the app.
  • Search integration — SearchPanel was integrated into the main UI and can be toggled from the activity/explorer area.
  • Various refactors & robustness work:
    • Stabilized editor <-> file system bindings and improved diagnostic marker handling.
    • Small but important Terminal improvements and input helpers to support edit/insert/delete operations and pasting.
    • File operations received validation helpers and shared utilities in src/services/fileOps.ts.
    • PeerAvatars behavior and popover interactions were hardened.

Version

  • Bumped version to 1.0.0-beta-4 (see package.json and README updates).
