Soulcounter Desktop 0.5.4
Coach: Soulcounter Desktop now remembers every match it sees you play, and the Coach lists the finished games api.deadlock-api.com does not have yet (new games usually take a few hours to show up there), with the API maintainers' command to add them yourself. The rank picker fits narrow windows. The overlay is unchanged.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.5.3
Coach: the new rank names (Mystic, Ritualist, Emissary, Oracle and the rest, subranks I-VI), and a Compare with picker: choose a rank above yours, for example Oracle, and a Getting to Oracle card shows every measure against that rank's players of the same heroes, with what closing each clear gap is worth. The header names your latest game, and Refresh asks Steam for newer games once an hour. The overlay is unchanged.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.5.2
New Coach tab: reads your recent games and tells you, per hero, what to improve against players of that hero at your rank. Every tip is a measure that moved the win rate for the same player in held-out games (souls against your lane, lane deaths and trades, deaths, jungle and objective damage from 9:00 to 20:00), shown with its effect and only when your gap is beyond normal game-to-game swings. Includes report cards with percentile bars, souls against your rank and the next rank up, deaths by phase and minute with a death map, and a story for each game: what decided it, three things from it, and the counters the lineup called for. The overlay is unchanged.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.5.1
The golden item fits the lane. Until about 9:00 it is always a lane item from your build (800 or 1,600 souls): the item that counters your two lane opponents, or the one your hero does best with against them, never a 3,200 item at minute one. A new match also starts its board from nothing bought and in the lane right away, instead of keeping your last match's items until the live feed arrives.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.5.0
Accuracy release. The pre-game read now matches the hero card art the top bar actually draws: on the two checked pre-game frames it reads 23 of 24 portraits (it read Seven as Haze before), about three times faster, and a portrait it is unsure of no longer enters the board or the counter picks. Counter picks are checked against 53,000 real matches played after the data they use: the points shown are now honest (about 0.7 of the old numbers, 0.6 at Oracle+), lane-partner synergy with a newly released hero is fixed, and the counter items were corrected against the item stats (Metal Skin, Spellbreaker, Indomitable, Grit and more). The build planner no longer swaps out the build's own answer to a threat for another counter.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.4.9
Pre-game counter picks now know your lane. The top bar lists each team by lane (left, middle, right), so Soulcounter finds your slot, your lane partner and the two enemies you will face, and ranks the picks against them as well as the whole enemy team (the same score as the site's counter-pick finder). The overlay names your lane opponents under the picks, and the board fills with your lane and partner before the match. It learns from the live feed whether the enemy side is listed in the same lane order, and the Build Lab no longer plans a component for an upgrade it already assumes you have.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.4.8
Counter picks before the match. In the 30 seconds before a match starts, when anyone can switch to a hero nobody has picked, Soulcounter reads the 12 hero portraits in the top bar of your screen and the overlay shows the three best picks against the enemy team, next to how your current hero does. The board fills at the same moment, so the golden item and build are ready at 0:00 instead of 1-3 minutes in. It only looks at the top strip of the screen during those 30 seconds, learns each hero's exact portrait from the live feed as you play, and the Desktop card shows how many heroes it read right last match. Turn it off with Pre-game picks in the Desktop card.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.4.7
Cleaner Live and Counter items tabs. Live: the enemy team comes first with the damage split it deals (gun / spirit) and a bar per enemy, a one-line status with account and sync settings folded away, and a shorter rail (golden item, Buy next, alerts). Counter items: one ranking across all slots, compact cards with details under More, and a slot filter.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.4.6
The golden item no longer points at a late-game counter early on. A counter is golden while it is due within about 6 minutes; before that the golden item is your next big core item. For example, Haze no longer saves for Cursed Relic at minute 11; it becomes golden as it comes due.
Soulcounter Desktop 0.4.5
A cleaner overlay with four things only, in one style: the enemy team's gun / spirit damage split, the golden item, your build order and the full ability point chart for the game. New F9 hotkey: "I bought it". The live feed shows purchases about a minute late; press F9 when you buy and your build order moves on right away. While live, your souls are an estimate for right now (≈) instead of the feed's minute-old number.
