Undead

Mouldered

The Mouldered is a hostile mob and a variant of the Zombie.

Spawning

Mouldered primarily spawn in Jungle biomes, but can occasionally appear in other biomes. There is a 5% chance for a Baby Mouldered to spawn. Like regular Zombies, Mouldered can spawn with equipment. They also have a 20% chance to spawn holding a Rotten Melon Slice.

Drops 0–2 Rotten Flesh Bamboo — Rare drop Cocoa Beans — Rare drop 2–6 Rotten Melon Slices — Dropped if the Mouldered is holding a Rotten Melon Slice

Behavior

Mouldered behave similarly to regular Zombies, but their melee attacks inflict Nausea. If a Mouldered is holding a Rotten Melon Slice, it will throw rotten melon projectiles at players, inflicting Nausea and Poison. When a player gets close enough, the Mouldered switches to melee combat.

Drowned

MC Augmented introduces two new Drowned variants: Reef Drowned and Deep Drowned. Both retain the basic behavior of vanilla Drowned, but have enhanced attributes that make them more dangerous opponents. Unlike regular Drowned, these variants do not spawn naturally in oceans or other biomes. They can only appear through the Drowned Necromancer's summoning abilities or Trial Spawners.

Reef Drowned

The Reef Drowned is a faster and stronger variant of the regular Drowned.

Spawning

Reef Drowned can appear in the following ways: Summoned by a Drowned Necromancer. Spawned by Trial Spawners in Underwater Trial Chambers. They do not spawn naturally.

Drops

0–2 Rotten Flesh Copper Ingot — Rare drop Equipped items — May drop according to vanilla rules Reef Drowned summoned by a Necromancer do not drop items or experience.

Behavior Reef Drowned behave similarly to vanilla Drowned, attacking enemies in melee and throwing tridents when equipped with one. Their main advantage is their increased movement speed, allowing them to close the distance to their targets more quickly. Like regular Drowned, they can move both underwater and on land.

Deep Drowned

The Deep Drowned is a more durable variant of the regular Drowned, featuring significantly increased health and armor.

Spawning

Deep Drowned can appear in the following ways: Summoned by a Drowned Necromancer. Spawned by Trial Spawners in Underwater Trial Chambers. They do not spawn naturally.

Drops 0–2 Rotten Flesh Copper Ingot — Rare drop Equipped items — May drop according to vanilla rules Deep Drowned summoned by a Necromancer do not drop items or experience.

Behavior

Deep Drowned retain the basic behavior of vanilla Drowned, using melee attacks and throwing tridents when equipped. Unlike Reef Drowned, they do not have increased movement speed. Instead, their main advantage is their higher health and armor, making them harder to defeat.

Sunken Skeleton

Sunken Skeletons are hostile underwater variants of Skeletons. MC Augmented features three variants: Bubble Coral, Fire Coral, and Horn Coral. Each variant has different attributes, making some faster and others more durable.

Spawning

Sunken Skeletons can appear in several ways: Naturally in suitable underwater areas of oceans, rivers, and coastal biomes. From Trial Spawners in Underwater Trial Chambers. Summoned by a Drowned Necromancer. Natural spawning requires suitable water and darkness conditions. In oceans, Sunken Skeletons spawn in deeper water.

Variants

Bubble Coral Sunken Skeleton

The Bubble Coral Sunken Skeleton is the basic variant of the Sunken Skeleton. It uses a Bubble Bow to attack enemies from a distance and can pursue targets underwater.

Fire Coral Sunken Skeleton

The Fire Coral Sunken Skeleton is a faster and more durable variant. Its main advantage is increased movement speed, allowing it to reposition and pursue targets more effectively.

Horn Coral Sunken Skeleton

The Horn Coral Sunken Skeleton is the toughest of the three variants. Its increased health and armor make it significantly harder to defeat, especially during prolonged underwater encounters.

Drops

All three variants share the same basic drops: 0–2 Bones 0–2 Arrows Equipped items — May drop according to vanilla equipment drop rules. Looting can increase the number of bones and arrows dropped. Sunken Skeletons summoned by a Drowned Necromancer do not drop items or experience.

Behavior

Sunken Skeletons retain some of the behavior of regular Skeletons, but are adapted for underwater combat. They use Bubble Bows, which allow their arrows to travel more effectively through water. During the day, Sunken Skeletons primarily target players in water. At night, they can also pursue players on land. They can swim, navigate underwater environments, and move onto land. Like regular Skeletons, they also avoid Wolves.

Drowned Necromancer

The Drowned Necromancer is a powerful hostile undead mob. Unlike regular Drowned, the Necromancer specializes in summoning undead allies and using magical abilities. It can fight directly with its trident, but becomes especially dangerous when supported by its summoned minions.

Spawning

The Drowned Necromancer can be encountered in special Trial Spawner rooms within the Underwater Trial Chambers. It does not spawn naturally. The Necromancer can appear in both regular and Ominous Trials. Its summoning abilities become more dangerous depending on the trial type.

Abilities

Trident Attacks

The Necromancer uses a trident in close combat and can throw tridents at enemies from a distance. It can pursue players both underwater and on land.

Undead Summoning

The Necromancer can summon groups of four undead minions to assist it in combat. The summoned groups may include different combinations of Drowned and Sunken Skeletons, including Drowned equipped with tridents. The Necromancer can have up to eight active minions at a time. Summoned minions begin gradually losing health after 30 seconds. They do not provide items or experience when defeated.

Summoning Tiers

The types of minions depend on the Necromancer's summoning tier.

  • Tier 1: Regular Drowned and Bubble Coral Sunken Skeletons.
  • Tier 2: Reef Drowned and Fire Coral Sunken Skeletons.
  • Tier 3: Deep Drowned and Horn Coral Sunken Skeletons.
  • Mixed: A mixture of minions from different tiers. Regular Trials can feature Tier 1 or Tier 2 Necromancers, while Ominous Trials can feature Tier 3 or Mixed variants.

Trident Storm

The Necromancer can summon a storm of tridents that fall from above. After striking, these tridents create small explosions that damage nearby enemies without destroying blocks. The Necromancer must briefly charge this ability before using it.

Underwater Dash

While underwater, the Necromancer can perform a quick sideways dash to reposition during combat.

Drops

The Drowned Necromancer currently does not drop any items or experience.

Behavior

The Necromancer is designed to fight alongside its summoned undead. It uses trident attacks when engaging enemies directly, summons additional minions when possible, and can use its Trident Storm to threaten an area. Its summoned allies do not attack the Necromancer or each other. The Necromancer can also command summoned Drowned to attack Villagers.

Illager

Royal Guard

The Royal Guard is a powerful hostile Illager. Unlike regular Illagers, the Royal Guard wears heavy armor, carries a shield, and wields a Spiked Mace, making it a dangerous opponent in close combat.

Spawning

Royal Guards can be encountered at Pillager Watchtowers, where they defend the structure alongside regular Pillagers. They do not naturally appear at vanilla Pillager Outposts or participate in regular Raids.

Drops

Spiked Mace — May drop according to vanilla equipment drop rules. The Royal Guard's shield is part of its model and cannot be obtained as an item.

Behavior

Royal Guards are hostile toward Players, Villagers, and Iron Golems. Their combat behavior revolves around two main mechanics: Shield Defense and Heavy Mace Attacks.

Shield Defense

The Royal Guard carries a shield that protects it from attacks. Weaker attacks are completely blocked without damaging the Royal Guard. A sufficiently powerful attack breaks the shield, but the breaking blow is still absorbed. Once the shield is destroyed, the Royal Guard becomes vulnerable to regular attacks. The shield can withstand attacks from weapons and projectiles. Environmental damage does not contribute to breaking it.

Heavy Mace Attack

The Royal Guard uses its Spiked Mace to perform powerful but slow attacks. When engaging an enemy, it gradually raises its weapon, preparing to strike. Once the weapon is fully raised, the Royal Guard can perform a quick, powerful strike when its target is within range. The attack produces a visual smash effect, but only damages a single target. After attacking, the Royal Guard must prepare its weapon again before performing another strike.

Disarming

If the Royal Guard loses its Spiked Mace, it becomes passive and stops attacking or pursuing enemies.
