Hey I like this addon for importing IFC files from clients. I uninstalled it because I didn't use it for a long time and doing so it ruined my key bindings, especially the ctrl+s and ctrl+c which are VERY important Please fix this bug so that when uninstalling the extension the bindings get deleted also, it was very annoying setting my bindings up again from scratch because of this. Also the latest version the snap option is blocked to on, if I save a file and the snap is OFF, then when I reopen it it's still ON with specific options that I don't need. This is very abusive for my use. Please, make this add on more friendly for people that don't use it on a daily basis, make your default use of it an option not mandatory. Otherwise it's a very good add on for importing and working with IFC files! Thank you!

We should probably be more forgiving by:

1. Allowing user to save their overrides and don't reset on new sessions
2. Don't ruin key bindings, but instead detect and display warnings where relevant
3. Perhaps display some sort of warning / setup message in our scene properties if relevant

Although as stated before I think we should really discourage people from having the addon enabled if they don't use it actively. It adds a myriad of properties to objects that will bloat files and callbacks that will slow down Blender if they are not specifically used for handling IFC files.

Or somehow put the addon in sleep mode whenever an IFC file isn't actually loaded.

I think there's a few related issues here:

1. Force snap. Now solved (mostly?) by offering a config option.
2. Keymaps. We have to add keymaps, but the OP says that keymaps are not restored after the add-on is disabled / uninstalled. They explicitly mention Ctrl-S and Ctrl-C. This doesn't match my testing. Keymaps are added on top, not overridden, and we unregister them on uninstallation.
3. Big UI change. We have options for this already.
4. Props, handlers, etc bloat. I can't see a way around this.

I'm closing this as the snap issue is solved. If anybody can find something more concrete with the keymappings please reopen.
