PixelAudio 0.9.7.5-beta is a pre-release version that is very close to the first public release. It is fundamentally the same as 0.9.7.0 without the deprecated classes that persisted in 0.9.7.0.

The Sampler and Granular audio synthesis classes have been fully revised. I've done a complete revision of the TutorialOne examples and provided some new application features in the Bagatelle example sketch. Bagatelle was used in March 2026 for the Outside the Box New Music Festival. The WaveSynthEditor sample sketch has been revised to improve GUI behavior. Package-info javadocs have been revised for this release.

For the next release: 1. The number of media files used by the example code will be trimmed down, 2. The javadocs will be revised one more time, 3. The Processing library page, auto-generated and inaccurate, will be redesigned by hand, 4. I plan to do a video tutorial or two. Meanwhile, here's a Vimeo library of material on PixelAudio.

The Processing library page (in need of my editing) and Javadocs reference are now online and updated for this release. Javadocs are included in the release, too.

See the PixelAudio ReadMe for instructions on installing PixelAudio and an introduction to the ideas behind it.

Check out the Examples ReadMe for information on how to learn PixelAudio features.

My 2025 paper on PixelAudio for the London-EVA conference is attached. If you are interested in the historical context of PixelAudio as an intermedia art engine, it's a good place to start.
