Exo starts about three times faster, uses less memory, and keeps Discord and your music app working through their own updates.

• Faster start. Your library is ready about half a second after the window appears, down from about 1.6 seconds.
• Less memory. A playing Spotify behind another room drops about 300 MB of interface memory while the music keeps going, and two leftover ad blockers on Exo's own page are gone.
• Embedded apps survive their updates. When Discord, Spotify, Cider or Apple Music restarts to update, Exo picks the new window back up. A prompt the app is waiting on shows in the room instead of hiding.
• The mini player finds Spotify again, and it works with Apple Music and YouTube Music too.
• Exo no longer moves or closes itself. A process-number mix-up could make Exo treat its own window as part of Cider or Discord.
• Starting Exo no longer steals focus from the game or app you were using.
• Discover and Devices are gone. Exo is Library, Friends and Music.
• Smaller and smoother interface. Hundreds of KB less code, scrolling on the compositor, and no more polling for game state.
• Riot says what went wrong when a game needs an update, instead of showing a raw error.

The mini player no longer moves the window when you use it.

• The player is not a drag handle. While a track is showing, the mini player and the space around it stay clickable — skip, seek, volume, and the track. Other blank parts of the top bar still move the window. With no song, that empty centre drags again.
