First public build.
No ads, no account, no analytics. The national timetable is compiled into the app, so planning a journey works with no signal at all.
What's in it
- Trip planning with a few alternatives, full trip detail with intermediate stops, and live vehicles on the map.
- Navigation that follows you: the step advances by itself as you walk and ride, the map turns with you, and a compass points the way on foot.
- The current step follows you into a floating window if you leave the app mid-trip.
- Stops and lines screens.
- First launch asks for a colour and which result types you want; both stay in Settings.
- Checks this page on launch and installs a newer build itself.
Installing: download kav-1.1.apk below and open it. Android will ask you to allow installs from wherever you downloaded it.
Known problems, being honest about it: resuming a trip stops it following you; while riding it follows your phone rather than the bus; the ride card can cover the next-step arrow; the map sometimes shows black squares where tiles haven't loaded; the home trip card jumps instead of animating when it resizes; the loading spinner is small and in the corner.
