Looks good overall! One quick question: should the placeholder in CITATION.cff be replaced before merging so the tagged commit URL points to the final release commit?

Looked over PR #117 and everything looks good! I checked the citation/provenance changes and confirmed the CITATION.cff commit hash placeholder is intentional since that gets updated during the release process.
