docs(observer): correct the sampling model (per-assignment, not read-time)#440

…-time OBSERVER.md's "Rough edges" and "Cost" sections described the pre-#262 design: "observation is lazy, sampled at reads not assignments; assignment only marks the value dirty." That's stale. Under the slot-keyed observer (#262), a binding interrogated anywhere in the program (compile-time flag) has its window pushed on EVERY assignment, with entropy/dH computed then — verified: 10 descending `x is …` writes with zero intermediate reads followed by one `report of x` returns `improving`, a full-window verdict impossible under read-time sampling. Rewrote both sections to per-assignment sampling gated by the compile-time observer flag + `unobserved:`; "zero until you ask" now correctly stated at compile-flag granularity, not per-read. PREDICATES.md "never been read" -> "never interrogated anywhere" for the same reason.

A document reviewer verified OBSERVER.md's "Rough edges"/"Cost" sections describe the pre-#262 design ("observation is lazy, sampled at reads not assignments; assignment only marks the value dirty"). Under the slot-keyed observer (#262), a binding interrogated anywhere (compile-time flag) has its window pushed on every assignment — proven: 10 descending
x is …writes with zero intermediate reads then onereport of x→improving(a full-window verdict impossible under read-time sampling).Rewrote both sections to the accurate per-assignment model gated by the compile-time observer flag +
unobserved:; PREDICATES.md "never been read" → "never interrogated anywhere". Verified-accurate parts of these docs (entropy formula, predicate math, unity horizon, report/report_value split) left as-is.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
