Steam Frame tracking fixes on top of QuestLHSync 1.19. Only the PC-side SteamVR driver changes; keep the 1.19 Steam Frame / Quest headset module.
On a Steam Frame the alignment locked onto wrong fits: either turned 57–96° off, or turned right but with the lighthouse space 0.7–1 m too high (trackers off the body, base stations floating). I checked against a recording with a tracker held to the headset as ground truth. This build gets both stretches of it within 0.5–0.8° and 8–14 cm, using only the hip and feet trackers. Three recordings that never locked before now lock with the trackers 0.10–0.14 m from the head.
What changed
- Worn trackers rule out wrong fits. With two stations in view, a different pair placed nearer or further along the same lines of sight often fits the camera sightings better. Acquisition now rejects fits that put the worn or held trackers away from the head, or turn their steps against the head's, and waits for about 2 m of walking so it can tell.
- Steady lights are ignored. A spot lit in 4+ camera frames in a row is a lamp or LED, not a base station, and is dropped.
- Dim dots count on the Frame. About 95% of the Frame's base station sightings are dim, so they always count there, and a fit gets credit for every station that agrees.
- Glints fixed to the headset are dropped, and a fit nothing supports for 20 s no longer blocks re-acquisition.
- New dashboard button: Reset alignment. It forgets the fit (
state.json) and acquires afresh;stations.jsonis kept.
Install (with SteamVR closed): unzip and copy questlhsync\bin\win64\* over %LOCALAPPDATA%\QuestLHSync\questlhsync\bin\win64\. The upstream installer downloads upstream's releases, so it would overwrite this build.
Tip: after starting SteamVR, walk around for 10–20 s so the trackers can confirm the alignment.
