Redkey Operator v0.2.1

This patch release injects the operator version at build time, surfaces the
Robin version in the Grafana dashboard, extends E2E coverage for persistent
clusters (deletePVC: false), and refreshes the toolchain and dependencies.
There are no CRD changes; it is a drop-in replacement for v0.2.0.

Highlights

  • Version injected at build time. The operator version now comes from the
    Makefile VERSION (-ldflags -X main.version, dev for plain go build)
    instead of the hardcoded USER_AGENT_VERSION constant. It feeds
    redkey_operator_build_info and the API client User-Agent.
  • --version flag for the manager binary, printing the version and exiting.
  • Robin version in Grafana. New "Robin Version" stat in the Redkey Robin
    dashboard (Overview row), based on Robin's redkey_robin_build_info metric,
    plus a "Build Info Metrics" section in docs/metrics.md.

Fixes

  • Security: golang.org/x/net bumped to v0.61.0 (GO-2026-6603, GO-2026-6610,
    GO-2026-6611, GO-2026-6612, GO-2026-6617).
  • The e2e suite configures the controller-runtime logger, removing the
    log.SetLogger(...) was never called warning when setup exceeds 30s (#100).

Testing

  • New E2E tests for persistent clusters with deletePVC: false: two consecutive
    Rolling N+1 upgrades (with and without replicas), upgrade + scale 3→0→3 +
    upgrade, scale 3→0→3 restoring data (with and without replicas), scale 3→0→3
    with deletePVC: true, and scale 3→1→3 reusing retained PVCs.
  • The E2E framework gains ClusterOptions.WithDeletePVC and
    ClusterOptions.WithPersistence (keeps AOF enabled so data really survives pod
    restarts).
  • Go native fuzz tests for mergeMeta and needsNewConfig (make fuzz).

Packaging & tooling

  • Go 1.27.2, controller-runtime v0.25.2, k8s.io/* v0.37.1 and the remaining
    direct dependencies at their latest versions.
  • controller-gen v0.22.0 (markers migrated to +required/+optional) and
    golangci-lint v2.14.0.
  • envtest and the kind e2e/chaos cluster pinned to Kubernetes 1.33; kind v0.33.0.
  • Removed the unused RedkeyReconciler.createIfNotExists helper, the
    USER_AGENT_VERSION check from the release workflow, and the unused
    version-next/version-set Makefile targets.

Compatibility

  • No CRD changes. Recommended together with Redkey Robin v0.2.1 (required for the
    dashboard "Robin Version" stat).
