InferenceHub Desktop v0.2.24 (unsigned)
What changed in 0.2.24
Windows: the app opens again. Every Windows install of 0.2.23 died on launch — a dark window flashed, then nothing. The 0.2.23 download-handler change moved the main window to create: false in tauri.conf.json, but tauri.windows.conf.json redeclares app.windows and Tauri's platform-override merge replaces arrays, so on Windows the window was created twice and setup aborted. Fixed in #20: the Windows config carries the flag, setup reuses a pre-created window instead of failing, and a unit test keeps the two configs in step. macOS was not affected; the macOS build is a version bump only.
If you are on 0.2.23 on Windows, run this installer over the existing install.
Builds in this release were produced locally (GitHub Actions is unavailable for the org at the moment): macOS on an Apple Silicon Mac with the usual ad-hoc signing; Windows cross-compiled with cargo-xwin + NSIS. Same unsigned posture as every previous release.
Thin client of the hosted InferenceHub chat (chat.inferencehub.tech). Unsigned builds — expect an OS trust warning on first run.
macOS (Apple Silicon, ad-hoc signed, not notarized)
Drag InferenceHub.app out of the dmg into /Applications, then clear the quarantine flag:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/InferenceHub.app
(or right-click → Open → Open Anyway on macOS 15+.) A fully signed + notarized build (no workaround) is still pending an Apple Developer cert.
System-wide shortcuts (they work while another app has focus): Ctrl+Shift+Z toggles click-through (clicks pass to the window underneath), Ctrl+Shift+↑ / ↓ raise/lower window opacity, Ctrl+T starts/stops meeting-audio transcription.
Updating from an earlier version? macOS silently drops the app's Screen & System Audio Recording approval on every update (unsigned builds can't keep it), even though System Settings still shows it allowed. If meeting-audio transcription complains: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording → switch InferenceHub off and on, then quit and reopen the app.
Windows (x64, NSIS installer, unsigned)
Run InferenceHub_0.2.24_x64-setup.exe. SmartScreen will show "Windows protected your PC" — click More info → Run anyway. If the WebView2 Runtime is missing (rare), the installer downloads it automatically.
The Windows build is chat + sign-in + tray only (no live transcription / Stealth Mode / window opacity / overlay hotkeys — those are macOS-only for now). A code-signed build (no SmartScreen warning) is pending an Authenticode / Azure Trusted Signing cert.
