bantamkit 0.34.2

A maintenance release. No server behaviour changes: both MCP servers (npm bantamkit-mcp,
PyPI bantamkit) serve the same tools with the same inputs and outputs as 0.34.1.

What changed

  • The Python test suite now passes with FORCE_COLOR set. Several tests start a child
    pytest and read its summary line. When FORCE_COLOR was set, that line came back full of
    colour codes and the tests misread it: 4 failed at 0.34.1's merge (74e5fa1) under
    FORCE_COLOR=3. They now read the output correctly with colour on or off. The full suite gives
    the same result both ways: 2866 passed, 57 skipped, 2 deselected, 3 xfailed.
  • The PyPI README is shorter: 2693 words down to 2379. No command, flag, host config, error
    message or measured number was dropped. Repeated or lengthy explanations were cut or
    shortened; most of that detail already lives in the linked pages under docs/. Every link
    works on pypi.org. Its offline "wheelhouse" example now pins
    bantamkit[mcp]==0.34.2. It still said 0.34.0.
  • Old build artifacts can no longer end up in the source distribution. dist-*/ is now
    gitignored, so an sdist built in place leaves out earlier release folders. The 0.34.2 sdist
    has 0 dist-0.*, .whl or .tgz entries.

Upgrade

  • npm kept install: npx -y bantamkit-mcp@latest --update
  • pip: pip install -U "bantamkit[mcp]"
