v1.1.1 — Windows plugin install fixed

Fixed

Installing from this repository on a packaged Windows desktop applied the window patch but silently skipped the plugin.

The installer looks for the dsh CLI, and on Windows that resolves to dsh.cmd — a batch shim. It then handed that shim to node, so node tried to parse batch syntax as JavaScript and died on the first line:

dsh.cmd:1 @echo off
SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token

The visible symptom was confusing: the window became blurred acrylic (the patch half succeeded) while the surfaces stayed opaque (the plugin half never installed), with nothing in the UI pointing at the cause.

  • resolveDshCli() now probes dsh.js, dsh.cmd and dsh side by side.
  • A new runDshCli() picks the exec strategy from the file extension: cmd /d /s /c for a .cmd/.bat shim, node for a .js entry.
  • The uninstall path carried the same bug, so a failed install could not be undone cleanly either. Both paths now share the helper.

shell: true was deliberately avoided: Node deprecates arguments-plus-shell (DEP0190) because it concatenates arguments without escaping them.

Verified

Against a real dsh.cmd on Windows 11:

strategy result
old — node dsh.cmd --version exit 1, SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token
new — cmd /c dsh.cmd --version exit 0, prints 0.2.1-rc.3, no deprecation warning

Then end to end: npx github:InkStain258/dsh-glass-skin went from x plugin installation failed to + plugin linked into profile "desktop", and the glass-skin settings row came up active: true.

Quit DeepSeek Harness first — the window patch needs app.asar unlocked. After a DSH update, re-apply it with:
