Release list
GymMane v1.0.0
🦁 GymMane 1.0.0 · The first release
GymMane is a strength log built for the gym floor, not for a dashboard. Tap the
muscles you want to train on a body map, log reps and weight set by set, rest
with an alarm that actually gets your attention, and read progress that comes
from your own sets.
No account, no ads, no subscription — and no INTERNET permission at all, so
the app physically cannot send your training anywhere.
Note
Which file do I download? Almost every phone takes arm64-v8a. If it
refuses to install, try armeabi-v7a. x86_64 is for emulators.
🏋️ Training
- Interactive body map, front and back — tap what you want to train and get a
session for it, then edit it set by set. - Reps, weight and a rest timer that rings with your own sound: drop in any
audio file up to 15 seconds. - A live session survives a reboot. Close the app, restart the phone, come
back and carry on where you left off. - Routines you can reorder and schedule per weekday.
📊 Progress
Everything here is computed from the sets you actually logged. Nothing is
estimated or filled in for you.
- Volume, current streak, weekly goal ring and personal records.
- GitHub-style activity heatmap with per-day detail.
- Strength curves with estimated 1RM per exercise.
- Muscle split across the last 30 days, and bodyweight with history.
📚 Exercises and tools
- 360+ exercises with animations and step-by-step instructions.
- Search, filters, favourites, and your own exercises with a photo, GIF or
video. - Six calculators: 1RM, plates, BMI, calories and macros, body fat, warm-up.
- Two home-screen widgets: activity and stats.
💾 Your data stays yours
- Export to CSV or a full JSON backup, and import it back.
- Coming from another app? Import your history from Hevy, Strong or
FitNotes — workouts and bodyweight, in one file. - Delete everything in one tap.
- Dark and light themes, kg or lb, English and Spanish.
🔒 Privacy
No analytics, no advertising SDK, no network code. GymMane never asks for the
INTERNET permission, so there is no route for your data to leave the phone.
The only outbound actions are links you tap yourself.
The permissions it does ask for: notifications and exact alarms for the rest
timer, vibration so the alarm buzzes, and wake lock so it fires with the screen
off.
🌍 Translations
GymMane speaks English and Spanish in full. Adding a language is one file and
no code — see TRANSLATING.md
if you want to bring yours.
Free and open source under GPL-3.0. If it's useful to you, a ⭐ on the repo
helps more people find it.
