In recent JupyterLite, the "Hard Way" for adding extensions: https://jupyterlite.readthedocs.io/en/latest/howto/configure/advanced/hard.html#extensions-the-hard-way changed and is not recommended for production. Switch to installing the imjoy_jupyterlab_extension into the environment and have JupyterLite pick it up from there.
Update embedded wheels to compatible versions.
