Self-host sync / API

Requires Node.js 24+. No Flutter SDK, Docker or external runtime npm dependencies are needed.

Setup creates a private .env with a random token and preserves existing configuration.
Use its token in Anamne settings. The default bind is localhost; use the supplied deploy/
HTTPS/systemd/container examples for a VPS. Set exact web origins through ANAMNE_CORS_ORIGINS.

MCP

Use the same environment/database in an MCP host's stdio command:

Verification and provenance

Independent checks passed: 19 server tests, private/idempotent env setup and health startup,
APK signature/identity/native alignment, report-matching checksums and exact AppImage payload
comparison. The local builder reported 22 Flutter tests, clean analysis and successful
target builds; those Flutter commands were not independently rerun.

The app assets are the inspected local evaluation builds from 4a4733d plus the five local
fixes, not a fresh rebuild of this tag. The custom client-source ZIP preserves those app
compilation inputs; GitHub's automatic source archives are the consolidated tag. The self-host
source uses the reviewed server/deployment code plus the tested env helper. Package manifests,
RELEASE-PROVENANCE.md and the build review
record the distinction.

Beta limits

• APK is development-signed with an Android Debug key. Back up notes before changing signing identity.
• Physical Android/IME/lifecycle, manual two-client sync and a live MCP-host round trip remain unverified.
• MCP currently offers 14 local/SSH stdio tools; remote HTTP transport and 99% parity remain roadmap work.
• Production signing, broad Linux install/upgrade QA, full offline web reload and Windows/macOS apps remain open.
