On the mod's page in the Keystone window (the keystone button on the toolbar, or Option-K on a Mac and Alt-K elsewhere). Every setting is kept from one game to the next; Defaults puts them all back.
The page also has the buttons Open the studio (or Close), Frame the craft (the camera put back to show the whole craft from the side it is looking from) and Take a picture.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Studio | white, green screen, showroom, or (since 0.2.0) your picture or outdoors (see The studios). Changing it while the studio is open puts the other one up at once |
| Lens | the focal length, 18 to 200 mm, as on a camera with film 24 mm high (50 mm sees 27° from top to bottom). A short lens sees wide and stretches what is near; a long one flattens the craft, as product photographers like. The camera keeps its distance: Frame the craft after changing lens |
| Aperture f / | for depth of field: at 16 (as it starts) everything is sharp; wider (smaller numbers) blurs what is nearer or further than the craft, the more so the closer the camera and the longer the lens, with the craft kept in focus. Done by Keystone's lens, which on Windows works only where TUFX is installed |
| Key light from the | left or right of the picture: which side the main light comes from (and the craft's shadows on itself fall away from); the other lights go round with it |
| The light | (since 0.2.0) in the white studio, your picture and outdoors: soft (as before), hard, low-key or sunset (see The studios) |
| Turntable | the craft turns slowly, as on a photographer's turntable; the camera, the lights and the set stay where they are |
| Turntable speed | degrees a second; less than nought turns it the other way |
| Size | the picture's size against the screen's: the screen's, twice, three or four times as wide and high (at most 8192 pixels on its longer side) |
| See-through background | in the white studio and before the green screen: pictures have no background (see Pictures). The showroom's pictures always keep theirs, and so do your picture's |
| White backdrop | how bright the white studio's backdrop is: 1 is as white as the screen shows; lower is a light grey, which parts a white craft from it more |
| Shadow under the craft | how dark the white studio's soft shadow is; nought for none |
| Screen colour | the green screen's colour: chroma green (#00B140) to begin with; chroma blue is #0047BB |
| Showroom floor gloss | how much the showroom's floor reflects: nought is matt, one a mirror-like lacquer |
| Put the game's interface away | while the studio is open, the editor's panels and buttons are put away (on: the default) |
| Option-P (Alt-P) | open or close the studio (in the assembly building, the hangar, or in flight) |
| Escape | close the studio (the game's menu does not open as well) |
| Option-Return or Option-S (Alt-S on Windows) | take a picture |
| Option-1, 2, 3 | the white studio, the green screen, the showroom |
| Option-T | the turntable on or off |
| right mouse button, held | turn round the craft, and up and down |
| wheel | nearer and further |
| middle mouse button, held | raise or lower what the camera looks at |
| the game's camera keys | turn and zoom as the mouse does |
