Release notes
v1.0.0 publishes two self-contained language distributions:
spec-driven-ai-dev-v1.0.0-en.zip— English canonical edition;spec-driven-ai-dev-v1.0.0-ru.zip— supported Russian translation.
Each archive opens directly onto AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, .human/, and specs/. Read START-HERE.md first. The archive has no installer or runtime dependency. Its 39 methodology payload files are copied byte-for-byte from the corresponding methodology/<language> source; release metadata adds START-HERE.md, LICENSE.spec-driven-ai-dev, NOTICE.spec-driven-ai-dev, VERSION, and distribution-manifest.json.
Checksums and sizes are tracked in the tagged release-manifest-v1.0.0.json and SHA256SUMS. The two ZIP assets are reproducibly generated from the tagged source and verified against that manifest.
The historical classic-2026.08-ru release is governed separately. Its spec-workflow.zip, SHA-256 4d6341011368019d9de10554d7b34805b51b1a801527488262d328b1dd503ed6, preserves the payload associated with Stage 1 commit 9e32bb92f7f361c47b4b782550657a564c4a14d9. Apache LICENSE and NOTICE sidecars accompany that historical asset.
Classic 2026.08 — Russian historical archive
Historical release plan: classic-2026.08-ru
classic-2026.08-ru is a preserved benchmark edition, not a v1.0.0 language distribution. Its source state is Stage 1 commit 9e32bb92f7f361c47b4b782550657a564c4a14d9; its asset is the original external spec-workflow.zip.

Before publication, calculate and compare the SHA-256 with python scripts/build-release.py verify-historical --archive <path-to-preserved-spec-workflow.zip>. A mismatch blocks publication. The release includes the exact preserved ZIP together with Apache LICENSE and NOTICE sidecars. This repository does not reconstruct the historical archive.
