CodexWinBar 1.1.21
CodexWinBar 1.1.21 is a Windows reliability and architecture hardening release.
Highlights
- Replaces the fragile Explorer-embedded widget path with a consistent per-taskbar overlay, including multi-monitor, DPI, Explorer-restart, auto-hide, and fullscreen handling.
- Hardens refresh scheduling, reset-boundary behavior, config-file concurrency, OAuth callback handling, notification deduplication, and CLI request/cache behavior.
- Restores Gemini to the provider catalog as default-off until connected, and labels Cursor explicitly as experimental/best-effort.
- Improves provider parsing and HTTP injection consistency, status polling, credit/spend semantics, privacy-safe CLI logging, and configuration compatibility.
- Adds broader regression coverage across the app, core scheduler/config, providers, and widget lifecycle.
Verification
- 152 automated tests passed locally and in Windows CI.
- Real Codex and Claude refreshes passed repeatedly on the merged build.
- Primary and secondary Windows 11 taskbar overlays were manually verified at 150% and 100% DPI.
- Flyout and Settings surfaces were manually verified with zero new runtime error/warning matches during the release soak.
The Windows installer is currently unsigned, so Windows SmartScreen may show its usual first-run warning.
