How to Use
Prerequisites: Any nodes you add have to have an SNMP agent installed on them otherwise they will not be able to send SNMP information to the network monitor
After the initial setup and familiarization with OpenNMS, you will want to be able to add nodes on your network to be able to monitor them. In order to do this, start by adding a Requisition under which to put your devices, such as "SYS-265." Do this under the settings in the upper right hand corner of the page (you may need to adjust the size of the page to 90% to be able to see this button in the first place), then "Manage Provisioning Requisitions" and "Add Requisition"

Now, you can add a node by clicking the plus sign in the upper right hand corner of the dashboard (you may need to adjust the size of the page to 90% to be able to see this button in the first place)
At this point you can add a node. Fill in the Requisition that you just made, along with the IP address of the node, and the name you want it to go by (like firewall01). Make sure to add in the community string in the community string box so that it uses SNMP to send data.

You will be able to view specific node information by selecting "Info">"Nodes">The name of the node you want
