✍️ WikiScribe

WikiScribe is a Reddit Devvit app designed to help moderators maintain organized, high-quality subreddit wikis by archiving important posts and comments into clean tables.

With WikiScribe, posts and comments can be easily written to a wiki page of your choosing via the context menu for any post or comment!

Key Features

• Manual Archive: Add any post or comment to the wiki via the Mod Shield menu.
• Auto-Archive: Automatically schedule posts with specific flairs to be archived after 24 hours.
• Smart Formatting: Entries are logged as Score | Author | Excerpt | Date.
• Mod Notifications: Optional logs sent to Modmail or a Discord Webhook.

🛠️ Install & Configure

1. Install WikiScribe
   • Go to the WikiScribe developer page and click Add to community.
   • Select the subreddit where you want install WikiScribe.
2. Grant Permissions
   • Approve the requested permissions when prompted.
3. Configure your settings
   • In the settings panel, configure the settings for default wiki page, content scrubbing, notifications, and automations. See the sections below for more details on configuration.
4. Done!

🛠️ Configuring WikiScribe

Default Wiki Page URL

Use this field to specify the wiki page you'd like write content to via WikiScribe. You must paste the full link to the page!

Note: Be sure to enable the wiki and the page you'd like content to write to and set them to public.

Auto-Scrub Deleted Content

WikiScribe can periodically check the subreddit for deleted posts/comments to remove deleted content from the configured wiki page. To enable this feature, simply toggle the Auto-Scrub option to ON.

Notifications

To receive notifications when content is written to the configured wiki page, two options are available:

• Modmail notifications
• Discord notifications

To receive modmail notifications, simply toggle on the Log to Modmail option. For Discord notifications, add a Discord webhook URL from the channel of your choosing.

Automations

Automations can be used to automatically write posts with a specific post flair to a chosen wiki page. This option is great for automatically archiving subreddit events such as megathreads or AMAs! To setup automations:

1. Set the post flair that WikiScribe should target.
2. Set the wiki page that WikiScribe should write posts to automatically.
