Release list
HexStream 1.0.0-beta.1
HexStream’s first public beta — a custom Android Twitch client by TripleSix, built on Xtra.
Huge credit to Andrey Asadchy, crackededed, and Xtra’s contributors. Their work is the foundation. HexStream extends it under the GNU Affero General Public License v3; credits and provenance and corresponding source are included.
Scroll down. Actually see someone new. Wild concept.
- Stable category sessions: broadcaster deduplication, frozen visible order/viewer counts, cursor-loop protection, bounded recovery and thin-page aggregation.
- Larger metadata batches with lazy thumbnails; selected tag/language/sort semantics survive API fallback.
- Global native tag/channel/category/title rules, full supplied-tag matching, narrow exceptions, optional language/emoji controls, blocking explanations and Unwanted Twitch-compatible imports/exports.
- Multiple saved accounts with one active account and notifications scoped to it.
- Six global Luminous/PerfProd playback presets, custom proxy editing and existing player fallback.
- Lower-delay live playback, optional brightness/volume swipes alongside minimize gestures, bonus claims and channel reward redemption.
- HexStream loop icon, in-app Xtra credit, and a HexStream-specific beta update feed.
Fresh installs have empty editable filter lists. Language restrictions and emoji blocking are off. Your phone, your rules. Existing saved settings are preserved by a matching-signature update.
Download
Install HexStream-1.0.0-beta.1.apk on Android 7.0 or newer. Version code: 135. Package: com.github.andreyasadchy.xtra.prototype, retained for compatibility. Built locally with Gradle/Android SDK; no GitHub Actions build.
SHA256SUMS.txt covers the APK and the accompanying source ZIP. GitHub’s source archives also correspond to this release tag. Signing keys and local credentials are not distributed.
Checks and limits
90 JVM tests passed; local optimized release and lint completed with zero lint errors and 22 reviewed warnings. Seven account-free Android tests passed directly on a physical device. The signed-in follow integration test was excluded; the Gradle device aggregate-report caveat is documented. In-place upgrade, cold launch, About credits and live playback were checked on the optimized APK.
This is a beta. Twitch APIs, proxy availability and device behavior can change; a fixed playback delay or complete server-side directory snapshot is not guaranteed. Read the pagination design, filtering details, and verification notes.
