@JARACH-209 JARACH-209 released this 23 Jul 15:31

Git-native cost accounting for AI-assisted repositories — measured, never guessed.

vibebill reads the session logs your coding agents already write to disk, joins them to git history, and answers: what did this commit cost, and where did the money go?

Highlights

  • Four source adapters: Claude Code and Codex CLI (verified against real logs), Gemini CLI and aider (from source research; doctor reports parse coverage)
  • Message-grain attribution with confidence markers (● ◐ ○) and inspectable evidence (vibebill show)
  • Exact money math: bigint nano-USD end to end, no floats anywhere near a dollar
  • Token-conservation invariant checked on every run: attributed + waste + overhead + out-of-scope = total
  • Commands: doctor · summary · log · show · range · reprice · report --md · notes sync · pr (via gh)
  • Privacy by construction: metadata only — prompt/response text is never read; zero network calls except opt-in --refresh-pricing

Install

npx vibebill doctor # or: npm i -g vibebill
brew tap jarach-209/vibebill && brew install vibebill

Standalone binaries for Linux/macOS/Windows are attached below — no Node required.

Built almost entirely by AI coding agents, and metered by itself: $97.63 across the first 9 commits (see the README hero — that's real output).
